1.Genesis (Noun)
Meaning: the origin or mode of formation of something.
Synonyms: origin, source, root, beginning, commencement, start, outset.
Example: A reading of Kautilya’s  Arthashastra  will help one understand the genesis of the state and how it needed to legitimise its authority through  the evolution of the police as we know it today. 

2.Abundant (adjective)
Meaningexisting or available in large quantities; plentiful.
Synonyms: plentiful, copious, ample, profuse, rich, lavish, liberal, generous, bountiful, large, huge, great, bumper, overflowing, superabundant, infinite, inexhaustible, opulent, prolific.
ExampleCrime was petty in those days, not requiring any sophisticated methods of investigation and detection. Now, it is  not only widespread and violent but also sophisticated with  the abundant use of technology.
3.Yardstick (noun)
Meaninga measuring rod a yard long, typically divided into inches., a standard used for comparison.
Synonyms: standard, measure, gauge, scale, guide, guideline, indicator, test, touchstone, barometer, specification, criterion, norm, average, benchmark, point of reference, model, pattern, rule, principle, paradigm, convention, ideal

4.Pliability (noun)
Meaningthe quality of being easily bent; flexibility.

5. Aloof (adjective)
Meaning: not friendly or forthcoming; cool and distant.
Synonyms: distant, detached, unresponsive, remote,
Example "they were courteous but faintly aloof
6. Allure (noun)
Meaning: the quality of being powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating.
Synonyms: attraction, lure, draw, pull, appeal, glamour
Example people for whom gold holds no allure"
7.Circumspect (adjective)
Meaning: wary and unwilling to take risks.
Synonyms: chary, guarded
Example "the officials were very circumspect in their statements"
8.Cohesive (adjective)
Meaning: characterized by or causing cohesion

Example“a cohesive social unit”
9.Shirk (verb)
Meaning: avoid or neglect (a duty or responsibility).
Synonyms: dodge, shun
Example"I do not shirk any responsibility in this matter"
10.Preoccupation (noun)
Meaningthe state or condition of being preoccupied or engrossed with something.
Synonyms: pensiveness, concentration, engrossment, absorption, self-absorption, musing, thinking, thinking of other things, deep thought, brown study, brooding.
ExampleThe strongest criticism against the police is of their preoccupation with the problems of the political party in power and those of the rich and famous.
