Hi, I am a general category student from Dehradun. I'll straightaway come to the point leaving all irrelevant stuff.
Completed my B.tech (ME) in 2014. Initially I was a hardcore defence aspirant so didn't thought of appearing bank exams.
Last year appeared for IBPS PO only
(Pre- 47; Mains- 85; Result not cleared)
After that
NIACL AO( Pre- 76; Mains- 92(not qualified))
IBPS PO 6 (Pre- 54; Mains- 75; Result- Canara Bank)
I also had so many ups and down in my life, I am not gonna blabber about that. Everyone have some problem in his or her own life, which are there just to check your perseverance.
Strategy:-
Didn't solve any questions from BA site, very rare in disqus as well (silent reader), but yeah purchased Career power Test series for IBPS PO and practiced ST from that only, According to me it's good enough. Good level of questions I have experienced in that.
Reasoning-
Practiced from books and BA
(Just learn basic concepts from this, it's never enough for practice).
After that CP's ST.
Quant-
My basics were clear so I am sorry I can't help most of the guys here because I don't know the pain of starting from scratch in Quant. Although my practice was completely based on ST.
English-
Read "Word Power Made easy by Norman Lewis"
It will change your perception of learning new words and have good set of vocab. And start reading ANYTHING you like be it Novel, articles, newspapers or anything else.
GK-
I followed a YouTube channel "Adda247" to prepare notes of GK. (I would recommend this to everyone) . Proper revision is MUST. After that Power capsule of BankersAdda is also necessary and you would find it very easy to memorise from that capsule .
Made separate notes for important questions which I came across in ST.
Computer-
Solely depended on BankersAdda capsule.
I hope this article would benefit someone in a way or other. Keep your hopes alive and conquer your dream. Never underestimate yourself and never limit your challenges, in fact Challenge your limits. All the best.
