Bankers Adda Success Story
Name: Mohan Kumar
Qualification: B.Tech
Place: Pondicherry
Hello friends,
I got selected in CANARA BANK finally as PO.  I just thought to share my preparation journey and the struggles faced during this time.
Everyone will have some dream in their life to become something (like Doctor, Engineer, IAS, etc). But I had some dream about Bank job during my college days. But got deviated from the opportunities present in IT industry and joined TCS campus selection. After two years down the line started to realize why I was here in this company and I lost myself and my dreams. After that, I started my Bank exams preparation in 2014 and wrote IBPS specialist officer and got failed. I realized that I became lazy in this job and does not give my full preparation for the exam.
I managed somehow with my work on one side and my preparation on the other side.
IBPS PO 4 – fail
IBPS SO 4 – fail
SBI PO 2015– failed in prelims by 0.25
IBPS PO 5– cleared prelims (failed in mains)
IBPS SO 5– fail
SSC CGL 2015– tier1 fail
LIC AAO 201– fail
SBI PO 2016– cleared prelims
IBPS PO 6– Cleared and selected in final list
It’s not that easy to prepare while working in IT job. I am not able to give my 100 percent due to my job. Initially my parents was not interested in my exam preparation. But later in 2015, I convinced them and they gave me full support and they believed me that I can do it.
My friends supported me and they know completely about my struggle and pain behind this success. At some point of time, we need motivation from our people who are close to us. My friend Murali, who was the real inspiration behind my preparation was preparing for UPSC and hoping to see him this year in the Final List. Every time after getting failed in the exam, I thought to give up my preparation. But my friends murali and priya, they believed me in that time also and stopped me from giving up bank exams. My other friends also asked me not to give up on exams. In 2016, I started to focus completely on Bank exams with determination and self-confidence with my parents and my friends support and cleared IBPS PO-6 and got into the final list. All this credit and success goes to my parents and friends who were the real backbone behind my success.
Special thanks wholeheartedly to bankersadda and careerpower online test series. The daily quiz, the motivational stories and the entire content present in bankersadda was really helpful and able to practice more and more to score good marks.
Guys, Never give up on failures that you have faced in exams. Self-confidence and determination is very important for preparing exams. If I had given up after ibps 2015, I would not have written ibps po 6 and would have missed my name in the final list. If you want one thing, you need to sacrifice other things for the dream you want. Even smartwork fails one day, But Hardwork will definitely make you to the success path one day or the other. We need to wait for that day with Patience. Please always do not go either of the extremes ( too much depression  or too much happiness) either you pass or you fail. Even after success, be calm and think your next goal and learn new things daily. Don’t feel comfortable at any point of time. If you feel comfortable, your learning will stop.
Practice with Determination and patience will make you a better person in your personal life and in your career.
It is just a beginning, picture to abhi baki h mere dost.....
