"Never stop believing in yourself": Laboni Paul ( Central Bank of India-Clerk 2017) - 06

Hi guys,

My name is Laboni Paul. I'm from Serampore, West bengal. I have been a silent member of bankersadda. It is a moment of pride to post my success story here today, after securing a job in Central Bank of India by clearing the IBPS clerk 2016 exam.

I started my government job preparations after completing my graduation in English in the year 2014. It has been quite an exciting journey. I was unsure which field to opt for, so I gave all kinds of exams. I started with IBPS PO 2015, which I couldn't clear the prelims by just 0.25 marks. Same happened with IBPS clerk that year. I realized, something must be wrong with my preparation, or my approach. In 2016, I gave a lot of exams and faced many obstacles and failures. I would like to share them-

WBCS 2016- Prelims cleared, mains results awaiting.

CDS 2015- Conferenced Out in SSB Bangalore final round

SSC CHSL 2015- Cleared prelims, descriptive and attempted the typing test. Waiting for results.

SSC CHSL 2016- 137 in prelims, hoping to make it to next tier.

SSC CGL 2015 & 2016- Did not clear prelims.

UBI 2016- Did not clear prelims

SBI PO 2016- Cleared prelims, missed mains by one mark in sectional cutoff.

BOM 2016- Missed by 5 marks

IBPS PO 2016- Cleared prelims, mains but interview was not good. So didn't make to the final list.

IBPS Clerk 2016- Provisionally allotted in Central Bank of India.

As you can see, I have had hectic journey. Have seen failures and part successes. I always wanted to be a banker. And I can say today, that I have achieved my dream. It has taken both hardwork and the prayers of my family and friends to be standing here today. I want to thank my family for having the faith in me and making me what I am today. My friends, particularly my bestie, have always inspired me and motivated me to reach my goal. Thanks to bankersadda to provide the best of materials and guidance and making my journey in the realm of bank exams easy.

A last message to all who are reading this. Never stop believing in yourself. Have faith in God. Keep looking forward. There will be many obstacles in the way. Fight with all your might, and taste the hard earned success. The journey might be difficult. But the taste of success will make all the efforts worth it. Thank you.
