Answer with Detailed Solution:
1).For SO, M : F = 53 : 47
Number of Females = 47 × 1272/53 = 1128
Total students in SO = 1272 + 1128 = 2400
Clerk : PO : SO = 3 : 5 : 4
Number of students in Clerk = 2400 × 3/4
Answer is: a)
2).M : F = 16 : 11
Required % = (16 - 11)/16 × 100
= 31.25% less
Answer is: c)
3).For Clerk , M : F = 31 : 14
Females = 1240/31 × 14 = 560
Total number of students in Clerk = 1800
Clerk : PO : SO = 2 : 4 : 5
PO = 1800/2 × 4 = 3600
Difference = 4500 - 3600
Answer is: c)
4).Ratio of the numbers of students passed in Clerk, PO and SO in Patna
= 2 : 4 : 3
Required % = 9/4 × 100
Answer is: e)
5).In Clerk, M : F = 34 : 16
Number of Males = 34/16 × 384 = 816
Total number of students in Clerk exam in Chennai
= 816 + 384 = 1200
So, total number of students passed from Chennai
= 7 × 1200 = 8400
Total number of students in SO
= 8400 × 2/7 = 2400
Number of Males passed in SO
= 2400 × 31/60 = 1240
Required % = 1240/8400 × 100
Answer is: e)
6).Average = 1/3 × {80 × 64.8/360 + 90 × 54/360 + 75 × 86.4/360}
= 1/3 × {14.4 + 13.5 + 18}
= 15.3 lakh
Answer is: b)
7).Difference = (80 × 86.4)/360 – (90 × 32.4)/360
= 19.2 - 8.1
= 11.1 lakh
Answer is: a)
8).Expenditure of Infosys Company on Salary
= 75 × 75.6/360
= 15.75 lakh
Expenditure of TCS Company on transportation
= 80 × 54/360 = 12lakh
Required % = 15.75 × 100/12
Answer is: e)
9).Expenditure of TCS Company on infrastructure
= 80 × 64.8/360
= 14.4 lakh
Expenditure of Wipro Company on transportation
= 90 × 50.4/360
= 12.6 lakh
Ratio = 14.4/12.6 = 8/7
Answer is: c)
10).Expenditure of Infosys Company on infrastructure
= 75 × 86.4/360
Expenditure of TCS Company on bonus
= 80 × 36/360
Required % = (18 - 8)/8 × 100
Answer is: d)
