Hindu Newspaper Vocabulary for SBI PO 2017

Hello, Greetings!! SBI PO 2017 will commence in the month of APRIL 2017. In order to help and guide all of you, we're going to post VOCABULARY BASED ON THE HINDU NEWSPAPER. In all the competitive exams, Vocabulary questions are asked from newspapers. 
1.Tacit (adjective)
Meaning: understood or implied without being stated.
Example: "your silence may be taken to mean tacit agreement"

2.Tawdry (adjective)
Meaning: showy but cheap and of poor quality.
Example: "tawdry jewelry"
synonyms: gaudy, flashy, showy, garish, loud
3.Temerity (noun)
Meaning: excessive confidence or boldness; audacity.
Example: "no one had the temerity to question his conclusions"
synonyms: audacity, boldness, audaciousness, nerve, effrontery, impudence, impertinence
4.Tenacious (adjective)
Meaning: tending to keep a firm hold of something; clinging or adhering closely.
Example: "a tenacious grip"

5.Timorous (adjective)
Meaning: showing or suffering from nervousness or a lack of confidence.
Example: "a timorous voice"

6.Tractable (adjective)
Meaning1: (of a person) easy to control or influence.
Example: "she has always been tractable and obedient, even as a child"
Meaning2:(of a situation or problem) easy to deal with.
Example: "trying to make the mathematics tractable"

7.Transpire (verb)
Meaning: (of a secret or something unknown) come to be known; be revealed.
Example: "it transpired that millions of dollars of debt had been hidden in a complex web of transactions"
synonyms: become known, become apparent, be revealed, be disclosed, come to light, emerge, come out, get out, be discovered, be uncovered, materialize, leak out, turn out, be made public
Example: "it transpired that Mr. Washington had been in London throughout the period of the robberies"
8.Tumult (noun)
Meaning: a loud, confused noise, especially one caused by a large mass of people.
Example: "a tumult of shouting and screaming broke out"
synonyms: din, loud noise, racket, uproar, commotion, ruckus, rumpus, hubbub, pandemonium
9.Turbid (adjective)
Meaning1: (of a liquid) cloudy, opaque, or thick with suspended matter.
Example: "the turbid estuary"
Meaning2: confused or obscure in meaning or effect.
Example: "a turbid piece of cinéma vérité"
synonyms: murky, muddy, thick
10.Turpitude (noun)
Meaning: depraved or wicked behaviour or character.
Example: "acts of moral turpitude"
synonyms: wickedness, immorality, depravity, corruption, corruptness, vice, degeneracy, evil, baseness, iniquity
