  • Emphasis - the particular importance or attention that is given to something
  • Vital - extremely important
  • Domestic - relating to a person's own country
  • Macroeconomic - the study of financial systems at a national level
  • Crucial - extremely important or necessary

  • Juncture - a particular point in time
  • Stray - to travel along a route that was not originally intended, or to move outside a limited area
  • Fiscal - relating to money and financial matters, especially taxes
  • Consolidation - the process of becoming or of making something stronger or more successful
  • Adverse - having a negative or harmful effect on something
  • Uncertain - not knowing what to do or believe, or not able to decide about something
  • Foreseeable future - the future that can easily be imagined or known about before it happens
  • Clamour - to make a loud complaint or demand
  • Sizeable - large
  • Stimulus - something that causes growth or activity
  • Certainty - something that cannot be doubted
  • Incipient - just beginning
  • Exacerbate - to make something that is already bad even worse
  • Cash crunch - a situation when an organization / country does not have enough money to operate successfully or in the normal way
  • Loosen the purse strings - to become more liberal with one's expenditures; to increase the availability of money for spending purposes
  • Assuage - to make unpleasant feelings less strong
  • Adverse - having a negative or harmful effect on something
  • Demonetisation - to officially stop using particular notes or coins, or a particular currency
  • Context - the situation within which something exists or happens, and that can help explain it
  • Pre-empting - to prevent something from happening by taking action first
  • Durable - able to last a long time without becoming damaged
  • Deficit - the total amount by which money spent is more than money received
  • Reiterated - to say something again, once or several times
  • Predecessor - someone who had a job or a position before someone else
  • Harped on - to talk or complain about something many times
  • Crowd out somebody / something - to not allow a person or thing any space or opportunity to grow or develop
  • Abiding - an abiding feeling, interest, or belief is one that you have had for a long time and that is not likely to change
  • Oriented - mainly concerned with, or directed towards, a particular group, activity, or situation
  • Transit - the movement of goods or people from one place to another
  • Collateral - property that you agree to give to a bank if you fail to pay back money that you have borrowed
  • Assertion - to do something to show that you have power
  • Intervention - the act or fact of becoming involved intentionally in a difficult situation
  • Subvention - an amount of money given as support by an organization or government for a particular purpose
  • Allude to someone - to mention someone or something in a brief or indirect way
  • Impede - to make it more difficult for something to happen or more difficult for someone to do something
  • Optimal - best; most likely to bring success or advantage
  • Hazard - something that is dangerous and likely to cause damage
  • Liability - the fact that someone is legally responsible for something
  • Constraint - something that controls what you do by keeping you within particular limits
  • Transaction - an occasion when someone buys or sells something, or when money is exchanged or the activity of buying or selling something
  • Bureaucracy - a system for controlling or managing a country, company, or organization that is operated by a large number of officials employed to follow rules carefull
  • Fritter away - to waste money, time, or an opportunity
  • Extremist - someone who has beliefs that most people think are unreasonable and unacceptable
  • Outfit - an organization, company, team, military unit, etc
  • Alarmed - worried or frightened by something
  • Ransom - the amount of money that someone wants to be paid before they will let a person who they are keeping prisoner go free
  • Perception - a belief or opinion, often held by many people and based on how things seem
  • Credence - the belief that something is true
  • Campaigner - a person who takes part in organized activities that are intended to change something in society
  • Militancy - using extreme and sometimes violent methods to achieve political or social change
  • Propagated - to spread opinions, lies, or beliefs among a lot of people
  • Fundamentalist - someone who believes that original religious and political laws should be followed very strictly and should not be changed
  • Violation - an action that breaks or acts against something, especially a law, agreement, principle, or something that should be treated with respect
  • Apparatus - an organization or system, especially a political one
  • Critics - someone who says that they do not approve of someone or something
  • Criticised - to express disapproval of someone or something
  • Victim - someone who has been harmed, injured, or killed as the result of a crime
  • Thriving - very successful
  • Implicate - to show that someone is involved in a crime or partly responsible for something bad that has happened
  • Dissent - strong disagreement, especially with what people in authority think or with what the majority of people think
  • The Interior - in some countries, the government department that deals with subjects and events that are important in the country itself instead of events in other countries
  • Tolerate - to deal with something unpleasant or annoying, or to continue existing despite bad or difficult conditions
  • Violence - actions or words that are intended to hurt people
  • Backfired - to have the opposite result from the one you intended
  • In the wake of something - if something happens in the wake of something else, it happens after and often because of it
  • Vulnerable - able to be easily physically, emotionally, or mentally hurt, influenced, or attacked
