  • Tenacious - a tenacious person is very determined and is not willing to stop when they are trying to achieve something

  • Merely - used for emphasizing that something is small or unimportant

  • Autocratic - ruling with complete power

  • Jurisdiction - the authority of a court or official organization to make decisions and judgments

  • Impunity - freedom from punishment or from the unpleasant results of something that has been done
  • Arena - an activity that involves argument and discussion
  • Thoughtful - carefully considering things
  • Strived - to try very hard to do something or to make something happen
  • Template - something that is used as a pattern or an example for something else
  • Searing - extreme
