Solution Key:
1). D; area of equilateral ∆ = √3/4×x2
where, ( x = side)
√3/4×x2 = 9√3
àx = 6 cm.
àarea of circle = πr2 , (where, r = x)
π× 62 = 113.04
2). C; √ (122+42+32) = 13m
3). D; h:d = 2:3 àh:2r = 2:3
àh/12 = 2/3 = 8
àVolume/C.S.A = (πr2h)/(2πrh)
à6/2 = 3/1 or 3:1
4). C; (1500×1200×10)/(24×25×10) = 3000
Since 1/3 rd is built, so required bricks = (2/3) × 3000 = 2000
5). B; As 2 days work = (1/20) × 2 = 1/10
à(A+B+C) 1 day = 1/20 + 1/30 + 1/60= 1/10
àwork in 3 days = 1/10 + 1/10 = 1/5
àso 1/5 work is done in 3 days,
àso can be finished in 3 × 5=15 days.
6). B; Total Balls = 2+3+2 = 7
à2 balls drawn should not be blue à except blue, total is 5, so 5c2 out of total 7C2
àso required probability = (5c2)/( 7C2) = 10/21
7). C; Let CP = Rs. 100, àP = Rs. 320,
:. SP = Rs. 420 à New CP = Rs. 125,
àSP = Rs. 420, àP = 420 - 125 = 295
àP % (295/420) ×100=70% (Profit % of SP)
8). D; 5! = 1× 2× 3× 4×5 = 120
9). B; Valid votes = 80% of 7500 = 6000
2nd candidates got = 45% of 6000 = 2700
10). E; Maximum marks is not given.
