  • Adventurism - a way of managing a business, government, or the armed forces that is considered dangerous and might have negative results
  • Legislative - relating to laws
  • Enacting - to make a proposal into a law
  • Terminate - to end or stop

  • Survive - to continue to exist, especially in a difficult or dangerous situation
  • Scrutiny - careful examination of someone or something
  • Reneged - to decide not to do something that you promised to do
  • Solemn - involving serious behaviour or serious attitudes
  • Obligation - something that you must do
  • Decree - an official decision or order made by a leader or government
  • Expeditiously - quickly and effectively
  • Verdict - an official judgment made in a court
  • Dispute - a serious disagreement, especially one between groups of people that lasts for a long time
  • Reiterating - to repeat something in order to emphasize it or make it very clear to people
  • Conflict - angry disagreement between people or groups
  • Finality - the fact or feeling that something has ended and has no possible future
  • Validate - to officially prove that something is true or correct
  • Illegalities - behaviour or actions that are illegal
  • Federalism - the system of giving power to a central authority
  • Usurp - to take a job or position that belongs to someone else without having the right to do this
  • Nullifying -  to make something lose its legal effect
  • Rendered - to cause someone or something to be in a particular state
  • Posturing - to do things only because you want people to notice you, admire you, or be afraid of you
  • Tendency - a strong chance that something will happen in a particular way
  • Negotiation - formal discussions in which people or groups try to reach an agreement, especially in a business or political situation
  • Zeal - great enthusiasm or eagerness
  • Grievance - a complaint about being treated in an unfair way
  • Accord - a formal agreement between countries or groups
  • Litigation - the process of taking a case to a court of law so that a judgment can be made
  • Brokered - to arrange the details of a deal, plan etc so that everyone can agree to it
  • Wriggle out of something - to avoid doing something by making excuses
  • Backed - supported
  • Aggrieved - feeling angry and unhappy because you think you have been treated in an unfair way
  • Conciliation - a process that is intended to end an argument between two groups of people
  • Unilaterally - done or decided by one country, group, or person, often without considering what other grous etc think or want

  • Emerge - to become known
  • Liturgical - involving or used in religious ceremonies
  • Reference -  used to describe books or places where you can find information
  • Troubadour - a male poet and singer
  • Render - to cause someone or something to be in a particular state
  • Conversational - a conversational style of writing or speaking is informal, like a private conversation
  • Brooding - making you feel as if something bad or dangerous is about to happen
  • Arrestingly - attracting your attention
  • Sensual - expressing or suggesting physical, especially sexual, pleasure or satisfaction
  • Unlike - different from someone or something else
  • Fade away - to disappear slowly
  • Suffused - to spread over or through something
  • Witty - clever and funny
  • Self-deprecatory - showing that you think you are not very good or important
  • Intimation - a suggestion or sign that something is likely to happen
  • Mortality - death
  • Verses - a group of words or sentences that form one section of a poem or song
  • Deviating - to start doing something different from what is expected or agreed
  • Divine - like a god, or relating to a god
  • Wandered - to travel from place to place, especially on foot, without a particular direction or purpose
  • Blurred - to (make something or someone) become difficult to see / understand clearly
  • Rebellion - a refusal to obey your leader, especially in politics
  • Morality - principles of right or wrong behaviour
  • Leave-taking - a situation in which you say goodbye to someone
  • Chords - musical notes
  • Sparsely - small in numbers or amount
  • Dejection - the feeling of unhappy, disappointed, or without hope
  • Tinge - small amount of
  • Befitted - to be suitable for someone or something
  • Holocaust - a war in which very many ordinary people are killed
  • Muse - to say something in a way that shows that you have been thinking carefully about it
  • Overture - a suggestion or offer that you make to someone
  • Realm -  a particular area of knowledge, experience, interest etc
  • Perfectionist - someone who always wants things to be done perfectly
