Bharat Rakshak: Indian Air Force

October 8, 2016

We live in peace, freedom and feel safe is only because of our real heroes, For our tomorrow, they give their today

Indian air force “The guardian of Indian sky” today on October 08th we are celebrating their 84th anniversary with great enthusiasm and fervor all over the country.

The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. It is the world's fourth largest air force. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict. It was officially established on 08th October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire and the prefix Royal was added in 1945 in recognition of its services during World War II.

Since independence, the India Air Force has been engaged in the four wars with the Pakistan and one with People’s Republic of China after its independence. Below is the list of operation carried out by Indian air force:

Operation Meghdoot  (to capture Siachen Glacier in the disputed Kashmir region)
Operation Vijay (to claim Goa)
Operation Cactus (rescue operation in the Maldives)
Operation Poomalai (to air-drop supplies over the besieged town of Jaffna in Sri Lanka)
Operation Rahat (rescue and relief of people struck by the flash floods in Uttarakhand).

The Indian Air force has always lived up to its pledge of safeguarding the country's Sky, it's all because of the scarifies and commitment of these heroes doing in adverse conditions. So, this day we express gratitude for the scarifies made by them and proud for their commitment toward nation. They risk their life to keep us safe, they stay away from their families just to keep us safe and secure, near to our families.

These flying eagles are always ready to take over the troubles. After the surgical strikes on militant camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and after the Uri Attack; Indian Air Force tighten up their belt. Indian Air Force is aggressively upgrading infrastructure and they are ready with their arsenal waiting for command to take off.

Keeping pace with the demands of contemporary advancements, the IAF continues to modernize in a phased manner and today it stands as a credible air power counted among the fore-most professional services in the world.

India is having top most destructive and dangerous fighter aircraft in service:
✈ SU-30 MKI
✈ Mirage-2000
✈ MiG-29
✈ Jaguar
 MiG-27
✈ Tejas
I sweep the skies with fire and steel
My highway is the cloud
I swoop, I soar, aloft I wheel
My engine laughing loud
I fight with gleaming blades the wind
That dares dispute my path
I leave the howling storm behind
I ride upon it's wrath.
I fill their quaking hearts with fear
For death . . . is in my wings.
