SSc CGL-7th September Morning Shift Exam Analysis

SSC CGL 2016- exam analysis shift-I 7th September 2016-The first session of the Common Graduate Level (CGL) examination of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was conducted from 10:00 am to 11:15 am . According to reports, thousands of candidates are said to have appeared in the coveted examination at exam centres across the country.

                                                 

The question paper had four parts: Quantitative Aptitude (Maths), Reasoning (general intelligence), English Language and General Knowledge (GK).

A lot of the questions were repeated. People thought the questions would change since the examination was made computer based but none of that happened. In fact, students had more time as there were about 75 minutes for each section which is an improvement from previous years.

Possible attempts- 65-82 Questions

General Intelligence- 25 questions
In this section questions consist of topics like
1. Series- 10 questions
2. Syllogism- 1 questions
3.Direction -1questions
4.Non-verbal- 2 questions
5. Miscellaneous- 10questions
Difficulty Level- Easy
Possible Attempts-20-22

Quantitative Aptitude -25 questions
In this section questions consist of topics like-
1. Trigonometry- 3-4 questions
2. Algebra- 3 questions
3. D.I(Related with disease)- 5 questions
4.Time and work-3 questions
5. Miscellaneous(percentage, profit loss, speed distance, age etc)- 7-8 questions
6. Geometry- 4 questions
Difficulty Level- Easy/Moderate
Possible Attempts-15-20

English- 25 questions
In this section questions consist of topics like-
1. Idioms/Phrases- 3 Questions
2. Comprehension(a magic tree, where a parrot comes to stay at night.)- 5 Questions
3. Sentence Improvement- 3 questions
4. One word Subsitution- 5 questions
5. spotting errors-3 questions
6. Antonym/Synonym-3questions
Difficulty Level- Moderate
Possible Attempts-15-19

General Awareness- 25 questions
In this section questions consist of topics
History-4-5
Geography-1-3
Economics-3
Science-3-6
Polity -3
Current Affairs-3-4
Difficulty Level- Moderate
Possible Attempts-12-15
