Answers with Explanations :
  1. 4; Many a must always be followed by a singular verb. have to be replaced by has
  2. 1; failed to be replaced by has failed.
  3. 2; No sooner always be followed by than. So, replace that with than
  4. 1; be to be replaced by been.

  6. 2; am to be replaced by "have been". Here, the action should be described in present perfect continuous.
  7. 2; and to be replaced by that. such always be followed by that.
  8. 3; Delete then. If never be followed by then.
