The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today announced that it has appointed Sudarshan Sen as it's new Executive Director. He is going to replace N S Vishwanathan, who has been elevated as Deputy Governor at the central bank.
Mrs Sen, a career central banker who has long association with bank supervision and regulation, was in charge of the Department of Banking Regulation before taking over as Executive Director.
He has also been Regional Director of Ahmedabad office of the Reserve Bank.
He holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK. He also holds a master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi.
Important Point to Note : Sen will look after Department of Banking Regulation, Department of Co-operative Banking Regulation and Department of Non-Banking Regulation.
