1. Delhi no longer most polluted in the world; Iran’s Zabol most polluted: WHO
1. The World Health Organisation (WHO) in a survey announced that New Delhi is no longer the worst polluted city in the world in terms of air quality.
2. However, India is home to four of the five cities in the world with the worst air pollution.
3. As per the report, in terms of PM2.5 measurement, New Delhi ranked as the ninth worst city in the survey. The national capital had an annual average PM2.5 measurement of 122.

2. Kenya to close Dadaab, world's biggest refugee camp
1. The Kenyan Government announced that it will close Dadaab refugee camp. The camp, which is home to 330000 Somali refugees, is often referred to as the world's largest camp.
The government cited reasons of pressing national security for the decision. The government also stated that the camp has become safe haven for terrorist organizations like al-Shabaab, a Somali-based Islamist group.
2. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the camp was established in 1991 to receive Somalis fleeing civil war. The Dadaab camps Dagahaley, Hagadera and Ifo were constructed in 1992.

3. India, China, four others sign agreement enabling automatic sharing of country-by-country reporting
1. Six countries, namely India, China, Israel, New Zealand, Canada and Iceland, signed a Multilateral Competent Authority agreement for the automatic exchange to boost transparency by multinational enterprises (MNEs). The signing ceremony took place in Beijing on 12 May 2016.
2. With this, the total number of signatories came up to 39.
Highlights
• The pact allows all signatories to bilaterally and automatically exchange Country-by-Country Reports ("CbC MCAA") with each other, as contemplated by Action 13 of the BEPS Action Plan.
• It will help ensure that tax administrations obtain a complete understanding of how MNEs structure their operations, while also ensuring that the confidentiality of such information is safeguarded.

Union Cabinet approved to sign inter-governmental agreement between India and Mauritius
1. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved to sign the inter-governmental agreement between India and Mauritius. The agreement is on cooperation in cooperatives and related fields.
2. Salient features of the agreement
• The agreement between the two countries will be for duration of five years after which it will be automatically extended for another five years.
• It provides for promoting cooperation through short and medium term programmes within the framework of the joint activities mentioned in it.
• A work plan will be drawn up by mutual agreement between the two parties to give effect to the objectives of the agreement.

ICICI Bank launches country’s 1st contactless credit card for SMEs
1. India’s largest private sector bank ICICI Bank has launched country’s first contactless business credit card in association with Jet Airways for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). The card has been christened as the ‘Jet Airways ICICI Bank Business Advantage Card’.
2. The card is powered by ‘VISA payWave’ contactless technology. The technology enables cardholder to make payments by simply tapping card at contactless enabled terminals in more than 48 countries including India. The card can also be used by dipping or swiping at non-contactless merchants. It offers dual advantage of reward programme on the expenses and repayments of the credit card.

Indian Air Force’s Electronic Maintenance Management System launched
1. Indian Air Force has launched its Electronic Maintenance Management System (e-MMS) Project, an automated military maintenance system. It was inaugurated by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha at the Air Force Station in Pune, Maharashtra.
