The Italian Open (currently sponsored by BNL and called the Internazionali BNL d'Italia) is an annual tennis tournament held in Rome, Italy. It is also known as the Rome Masters and the Italian Championships. It is played on clay courts. This is the 2nd most prestigious red clay tennis tournament after French Open. The 73rd edition of this tournament was held during 9th to 15th May 2016 at Foro Italico in Rome, Italy.
