Here is the Daily Word list for you to improve your verbal as well as your written English. Now a days Level of English section has been increased in Competitive Exam and same will be followed in  LIC AAO and other upcoming Banking Exams. 1.Fizzled (v): End in a disappointing way or fail in a weak .
Synonyms:Dissipate,Miscarry,End in defeat.
Use: SriLanka's innings fizzled out, with three batsmen falling for just 50 runs.
2.Virago (n): Shrew or bad-tempered woman.
Synonyms: Termagant, Violent.
Use:The virago shouted at the children to get off of her lawn.
3.Salvage (v):Rescue from loss,adverse circumstances.
Synonyms: Reinstate, Preserve, Conserve.
Use:They salvaged the documents from the sunken ship.
4.Wilt (v): Plants limp through heat, loss of water, or disease, droop.
Synonyms:Flop,Droop, Sag.
Use:Plants got wilted in the scorching heat of the sun.
5.Eternal (adj): Existing or lasting forever, without end.
Synonyms:Everlasting,  Indestructible, Endless.
Use:The magic ring seemed to keep magician eternally young.
6.Optimistic (adj):Hopeful and confident
Synonyms: Sanguine, Confident, Hopeful, Buoyant.
Use: Yuvraj Singh is quite optimistic that he will be able to make the Indian team this season.
7.Ominous (adj): Worrying impression,threatening,inauspicious.
Synonyms: Menacing, Baleful, Sinister.
Use: Jerusalem and the surrounding district have ominous heathen associations.
8.Iota (n):An extremely small amount.
Synonyms: Morsel,Whit, Scintilla.
Use: He didn't display an iota of love toward his brother.
9.Irascible (adj):  To be easily angered,showing a tendency.
Synonyms: Quick-tempered, short-tempered, bad-tempered, ill-tempered.
Use: An irascible person loses temper on petty issues. 
10.Versatile (adj): Able to adapt many different functions or activities.
Synonyms: Flexible, All-round, Multifaceted, Multi talented.
Use: Virat Kohli is a versatile cricketer.
