1.Abnegation (n) : The action of renouncing or rejecting something.
Synonyms: Refusal, Abandonment , Surrender

2.Acrimonious (adj) : Bitter and sharp in language or tone
Synonyms: Hostile, Crabbed, Sarcastic
Use:Your acrimonious arguments about religion only sever friendships.
3.Cognizance (n) : Knowledge or awareness.
Synonyms: Knowledge, Consciousness, Apprehension
Use: The guests took cognizance of her presence at the party.
4.Notoriety (n): The state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed.
Synonyms: Infamy , Discredit, Obloquy, Opprobrium
Use: The notoriety of the actor’s racist comments led to his dismissal from the highly rated television show.
5.Wreck (n) : The act of destroying or the state of being destroyed
Synonyms: Debris, Detritus, Remainder
Use: The ship was wrecked on rocks during a storm.
6.Obscene (adj) : Offending against moral principles or repugnant
Synonyms: Scandalous, Vile, Foul, Obnoxious
Use: The obscene dancing was not appropriate for a church function.
7.Niggard (n) : A mean or ungenerous person
Synonyms: Miser,Tightwad , Rustic
Use: Napoleon was prodigal of promises, but niggard of their fulfilment.
8.Tog (v) : Get dressed for a particular occasion or activity.
Synonyms: Ensemble, Accouterment
Use: These harbour togs gave to his thick figure an air of stiff and uncouth smartness.
9.Tumult (n): A state of confusion or disorder, violent agitation or disturbance.
Synonyms: Turbulence, Mayhem, Havoc
Use: The police were called to clear up the tumult after excited football fans burst onto the field.
10.Mortify (v) : To feel very embarrassed or ashamed.
Synonyms: Embarrass, Humiliate, Chagrin
Use: The boy began to mortify the shy girl by making fun of her old clothes.
