1. substantive- सत्य
Example
The popular gossip columnist's article was not based on anything substantive, she had made up the whole story.

उदाहरण
लोकप्रिय गपशप स्तम्भकार का लेख किसी भी सत्य पर आधारित नहीं था, बल्कि पूरी कहानी मनगढ़ंत थी।

2. abstract- अमूर्त
Example
The abstract painting by the young artist featured squiggly lines and polka dots.

उदाहरण
युवा कलाकार द्वारा बनाया हुआ अमूर्त चित्र टेड़ी मेड़ी लकीरों और गोल गोल बिंदियों से चित्रित था।

3. aggregate- कुल
Example
In aggregate, this year company's annual earnings were impressive and because of that all the employees got a raise in their salaries.

उदाहरण
कुल मिलाकर इस साल कंपनी की सालाना कमाई प्रभावशाली थी, इसलिए सभी कर्मचारियों के वेतन में बढ़ोतरी हुई।

4. apotheosis- आदर्श
Example
There are lot of people who believe that the Corvette is the apotheosis of American car industry. They think it's the ideal.

उदाहरण
बहुत से लोगों का यह मानना है कि कार्वेट कार अमेरिकी कार उद्योग का आदर्श है। उनका यह मानना है कि वह सबसे उत्तम है।

5. adherent-समर्थक
Example
The newly elected president's adherents threw a big party for him, just to show how much they liked him.

उदाहरण
नव निर्वाचित अध्यक्ष को अपना लगाव दिखाने के लिए उनके सभी समर्थकों ने एक बड़े भोज का आयोजन किया।
