Dear Readers,
There has been a lot of buzz about what happened in the IBPS PO Mains exam 2015. Sudden change in the difficulty and random composition of question added to the whole level of the exam. No one has expected this and that is the reason that many students wasted their time finding the must to do questions like quadratic equations, inequality etc. IBPS not only surprised the students with the personality test but also with the whole composition of exam. Now let us discuss the most important questions like "What should be cut-off" and "Have I attempted sufficient". These are the questions we are mostly recieving on Bankersadda mail. So let us explore the expected cut-off and the chances of individual cut-off.

Reasoning Ability:
This was quite surprising and proved to be one of the time taking sections in the Mains exam. People have wasted a lot of time in this section. If we compare this section from previous years Reasoning sections, then we can say that this year Reasoning played the role of Villain for many students. Quite surprisingly, this time we haven't got any questions from inequality and miscellaneous section. Infact the questions were a bit unorganised , for eg. the questions from logical reasoning were not together. After considering all the positive and negative aspect of the section, we can conclude that people who have attempted it patiently will be able to clear the cut-off.
Quantitative Aptitude:
Quantitative aptitude was again tough as it was used to be in previous exams. The most surprising fact in this section was the absence of Quadratic Equations. If it would have been in the exam, then a student could have done more number of questions. Now coming to the arithmatic section, we can say that it could have wasted more time of yours. Infact those who attempted Data Interpretation have attempted good number of questions. If we sum up this section, we can say that apart from the absence of quadratic equations, there was nothing that was not anticipated.
English Language:
This section was a bit easier and it remained almost similar as it was in all the previous exams. The only change was the decrease in the number of Cloze Test. If we talk about the Reading Comprehensions, they were doable. The antonyms and synonyms were easy too. Error Detection was doable too. Summarizing it, we can say that it was not that tough as it was used to be previous exams.
General Awareness:
This was the life saver section for everyone who have appeared for the exam. The questions were quite direct and and was easy to answer. The composition of this section was dominated by Current Affairs. This was the only part of the exam that made the students smile. Students were quite satisfied with their performance in this section.
Students are still confused about this section because this time the questions were tricky but doable. Some questions were quite technical but if one have concentrated on basics, then he would have scored sufficient.
