IBPS PO interviews to start from 18th January: Exclusively on Bankers Adda

Dear BA'ians,
A big congratulations to all those who have cleared the 2nd level of the IBPS PO Mains examination. It is only because of your persistent efforts that you have come so far. But this is not the end, so don't you put your socks down as yet.

We would like to share a few important details with you that have come to us through reliable internal sources.

Most of you have been curious to know about the total number of vacancies that are expected this time. Well as per our reliable internal sources, IBPS has given guidelines to the PSB's to inform it about the number of vacancies required by each PSB. On failing to do so, the number of vacancies are calculated as an average of the last three year total vacancies in that had been filled through IBPS. 

As per information received from our sources in IBPS, this year total number of expected vacancies in PO profile are approx 19100. Also, the number of candidates shortlisted for interview process are approx 58000, which is almost three times the total number of vacancies.

Just as last time , this year too the marks of the written will not be declared until the interviews. We know that the interview marks play a very important role in making strategies for the interviews, i.e. as to how much to score in the interviews to secure yourself a seat.

But the advantage that you all have this time is that there will be a common interview that will be conducted through IBPS itself, and not by the banks directly. So no matter how much you have scored in the written, all the students hold an equal chance in securing a seat for themselves in the esteemed PSB's.

Remember, you have to go through biometric identify verification once again at the time of IBPS PO Interview.

Now the most important News: It is expected that PO interviews will start from 18th January and will continue till 28th January 2016. So, you have sufficient time to prepare yourself fully for the big day. From now on, each day will count.

So put your best foot forward during the interviews to get a good score.
