Saina Nehwal won Silver Medal at China Open 2015

  • Saina Nehwal won Silver Medal at China Open 2015 in women’s singles category on 15th November 2015 while Xuerui Li of China won Gold Medal. Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia won in Men’s singles category, Kim Gi-jung and Kim Sa Rang won in Men’s doubles category, Tang Yuanting and Yu Yang won in women’s doubles category and Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei won in Mixed doubles category.

Nico Rosberg won Brazilian Grand Prix title of Formula 1

  • Nico Rosberg of Germany won Brazilian Grand Prix title of Formula 1 on 15th November 2015. It is his 13th carrer title and 5th in 2015. The other four are Australia, Mexican, Monaco and Spain.

PM Modi inaugurated Ambedkar Memorial in London

  • On 13th November 2015, PM Modi inaugurated Ambedkar Memorial in London situated at King Henry’s Road, London, UK. Moreover, PM Modi also inaugurated Basaveshwara Statue at Lambeth, London.

  • INS Vishwakarma commissioned into Indian Navy on 13th November 2015 by Admiral R.K. Dhowan, the Chief of Naval Staff.

North-East India’s 1st elephant hospital established at Kaziranga National Park, Assam

  • North-East India’s 1st elephant hospital established at Kaziranga National Park, Assam on 12th November 2015 as inaugurated by Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. The hospital is situated in Golaghat and Nagaon Districts of Assam.

World Pneumonia Day observed on 12th November 2015

  • World Pneumonia Day observed on 12th November 2015 in all over the World under the theme ‘Every Breath Counts: Stop Pneumonia Now’. The day observed with the aim to raise awareness about the disease Pneumonia.

National Children’s Day observed on 14th November 2015

  • National Children’s Day observed in all over the Country on 14th November 2015. President Pranab Mukherjee presented National Child Awards at this event. The day also known as Bal Divas while World Children’s Day observed on 20th November.

‘Mareech’ handed over to Indian Navy

  • Advanced Torpedo Defence System namely ‘Mareech’ handed over to Indian Navy which is developed by DRDO on 14th November 2015.
