Friends, The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the Winners of Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2015 today. This year this award goes to  Japanese and Canadian scientists for their work to reveal how neutrinos – elusive subatomic particles – change identities or ‘flavours’, and expand our understanding of the innermost workings of matter and the universe.
Takaaki Kajita of Japan and Arthur McDonald of Canada win 2015 Nobel prize in physics.
The academy said the two men won the prize for their contributions to experiments demonstrating that neutrinos change identities.

This is the  second of this week’s three top science prizes. Yesterday the Academy has announced the winners of Nobel Prize in Physiology / Medicine.
