UIIC Assistants Study Plan and Topics to Prepare

Hi friends, I am Aparna Sharma. I am working as an Assistant in UIIC for last 1 month. As you know, the UIIC has released a new notification for the recruitment of Assistants, here I am sharing important topics to prepare and my preparation strategy which helped me to get into UIIC. This post is dedicated to all Aspirants who want to appear for it. Happy Reading :)

The written exam is on 30th August (less time, work  hard for it)

[Mine was on 4th Jan 2015. You can read about paper pattern in advertisement].

I would suggest u material for it:-

• COMPUTER : READ ALL BASIC STUFF ( INPUT, OUTPUT DEVICES, ALL SHORT-KEYS OF MS OFFICE AND COMMON STUFF WHICH IS AVAILABLE ON NET)
• FOR GENERAL KNOWLEDGE : YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BASIC STUFFS OF LAST 6 MONTHS. IF NOT POSSIBLE THEN FOR LAST 3 MONTH COMPULSORY . SOME STUFFS LIKE : - CURRENCY, HEADQUARTERS,, GEOGRAPHY RELATED FACTUAL QUESTION (HYRDO ELECTRIC POWER,, BIRD SANCTUARY, RIVER ETC) COUNTRY CAPITAL,POPULAR DAYS LIKE AIDS DAY ON 1ST DEC,WHO REGULATES INSURANCE SECTOR,, SPORT RELATED QUESTIONS
• ENGLISH : NORMAL LEVEL MAX. 12TH CLASS
• • 
  • if u are good @ eng no need to prepare for it and if not then also u shd only know about basic English grammar rules.
  • 10- reading comprehension
  • 5- sentence rearrangement
  • 5-10 sentence omission, correction
  • 10 - cloze test'
• REASONING:-
• • 5 - SYLLOGISM (EASY)
  • 5 - CODING DECODING
  • 5 - BLOOD RELATION
  • 5- INEQUALITY
  • 5- SEATING ARRANGEMENT
  • 5- LINEAR ARRANGEMENT
  • REST MISCELLANEOUS
• 'MATHS':
• • 10- 15 QN - SIMPLIFICATION
  • 5- DI

REST  MISCELLANEOUS

Suggestion :
The only suggestion I will give to you is, Practice as much as you can and try to solve atleast 10 papers before the real exam, so that you will get a clear idea on time management in the real exam.

I followed this strategy & my attempts were 177 (with 95% accuracy)
