1.  Option E
Total number of employees working in the marketing department = 800 × 24/100
 = 192
Required percentage = 165/192 × 100 = 85.94% = 86%
2. Option A
Total number of employees working in the HR department = 800 × 5/100 = 40
Total number of female employees working in the HR department = 40 – 12 = 28
Required ratio = 28:40 = 7:10
3. Option D
Total number of employees working in the Production department = 800 × 35/100 = 280
Required percentage = 245/280×100=87.5%
4. Option A
Total number of employees working in the IT department = 800 × 20/100 = 160
Total number of female employees working in the IT department = 160 – 74 = 86
Required percentage = 86/800 × 100 = 10.75%
5. Option B
Total number of employees working in the Marketing department = 800 × 24/100 = 192
Total number of female employees working in the Marketing department = 192 – 165 = 27
Required ratio = 165:27 = 55:9
