In its bimonthly monetary policy review, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) cut interest rates for the third time this year today. It lowered its key Repo Rate by 25 basis points to 7.25 percent after lowering it by the same amount in January and March. With this move, the Reverse Repo Rate moves lower to 6.25 percent. Key ratios, such as the CRR and SLR, are unchanged.
