IBPS RRB's Recruitment 2015: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Dear Readers,
IBPS RRB notification has been announced yesterday and there are many doubts/queries coming in the mind of aspiring candidates. We have given below a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.

Q. What are the posts available under this recruitment project?
The recruitment will be done at two levels - Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group "B" Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). Group "A" posts can be    considered equivalent to Probationary Officer and Office Assistants can be considered equivalent to a Clerk in PSU Banks.
Q. When will be the exam conducted?
Online Examination for Officers will be in the month of September
Online Examination for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will also be in the month of September
Q. When will the result be declared?
Results will be declared in the month of October 2015.
Q. Which Banks will participate in this recruitment Process?
Total 56 Regional Rural Banks, from various states will participate in this recruitment process.
Q. How many vacancies will be there?
It is not fixed and will depend on the vacancies created at each participating bank in next one year.
Q. Will there be a common interview after the written result?
Yes, there will be a common interview process this time. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE- RRBs-IV will subsequently be called for an    Interview to be conducted with the help of the designated Nodal Regional Rural Bank in each State/UT and coordinated by IBPS in consultation with the appropriate    authority. Interviews will be conducted at select centres.
Q. Will the exam conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
A. Common Written Exam for RRBs will be conducted online.
Q. Can I apply for both the posts - Officers and Office Assistants?
A. A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. However a candidate can apply for only one post in    officer’s cadre i.e. If a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III. However, Candidates have to    apply separately and pay fees separately for each post applied for(Separate form and fees for Office Assistant and Officer Cadre).
Q. What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
A. Age Criteria as on 01-07-2015
For Officer Scale- III - Above 21 years - Below 40 years
(Candidate Should be born on or After 03.07.1975 but on or before 30.06.1994)
For Officer Scale- II - Above 21 years - Below 32 years 
(Candidate Should be born on or After 03.07.1983 but on or before 30.06.1994)
For Officer Scale- I - Above 18 years - Below 30 years
(Candidate Should be born on or After 03.07.1985 but on or before 30.06.1994)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 years and 28 years
(Candidate Should be born on or After 02.07.1987 but on or before 01.07.1997)

Q. What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
A. Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
Officer Scale-I : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent 
Officer Scale-II : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Officer Scale-III : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 
Q. I have given exams of my final year graduation but result has not yet been declared. Can I apply?
A. Yes, you can apply if the result is out on or before 28-July-2015, only then you can apply.
Q. What is the application Fee?
A. Application fee is Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs. 600/- for all others. It should be noted that a person applying for both posts has to pay seperately.
Q. Do I need to know the local language to apply from a state?
A. The candidates for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/UT for which    he/she wishes to apply.
Q. When will the registration start?
A. Registration will start from 8-July-2015 for both posts.
