- Vinita Bali appointed as Chairman of Board of Directors of Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) on 04th June 2015 succeeded by Nidoo.
Prof. Sanghmitra Bandyopadhyay appointed as Director of ISI
- Prof. Sanghmitra Bandyopadhyay appointed as Director of Indian Statistical Institute on 10th June 2015 succeeded by Dr.Bimal K. Roy. She became 1st woman to lead the Institute.
Power Purchase Agreement signed between Tamil Nadu and Adani Power Ltd.
- The State Government of Tamil Nadu signed an agreement with Adani Power Ltd. on 11th June 2015 to set up 200 MW solar power plant in Ramanathapuram. The agreement known as Power Purchase Agreement.
World Day Against Child Labour observed on 12th June
- World Day Against Child Labour observed in all over the World on 12th June 2015 under the theme of ‘NO to Child Labour – Yes to Quality Education’. Earlier in the year 2002, the day was launched by International Labour Organization.
Forbes released list of highest paid Athletes
- 100 highest paid Athletes list released by Forbes on 10th June 2015. The list topped by Floyd Mayweather while Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni placed at 23rd position.

- Matt Prior, the Cricketer of England, retired from all forms of Crickete as announced on 11th June 2015. He became 1st wicket keeper of England to score a century in his debut match.
Migrant Resource Centre launched
- Migrant Resource Centre launched by Government of India in Chennai on 11th June 2015. This is 4th Migrant Resource Centre established in India. The 1st one was established in Kochi, Kerala.
ISRO awarded with Space Pioneer Award
- Indian Space Research Organization awarded with Space Pioneer Award for the year 2015 on 08th June 2015 as the award presented by National Space Society of USA.
Border Haat opened
- Border Haat, the common border between India and Bangladesh, opened on 11th June 2015. The Border lies in the Indian State Tripura.
Wesley Hall inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame
- Wesley Hall, the former Cricketer of West Indies, inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame on 11th June 2015. He took 546 wickets. He became 4th Cricketer in this year to be inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
