Dear Students, LIC brought out the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers on 2nd of March 2019. The online examination to carry out the recruitment process will be conducted in two phases viz. Prelims and Mains Examination. What's making the LIC AAO candidates scratch their heads is the absence of mention of negative marking in the official notification. Yes students, the official notification of LIC AAO only says, "Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Score." which means only the answers marked correct will be taken into consideration to arrive at the final scores.
Also, if we review LIC AAO 2015-16 Exam, negative marking was there for all the answers marked wrong and information regarding it was mentioned in the official notification as well. But this year, there is no such mention in the notification, we can conjecture that there will be no negative marking either in Prelims or Mains Examination of LIC AAO 2019 Exam. For further details, we can wait for the information handout which is usually released with the admit card before the conduct of online examination.
