Miss Mexico Vanessa Ponce de Leon today crowned as Miss World 2018 by the outgoing pageant winner, India's Manushi Chhillar, at Sanya City Arena in China. With this, the 26-year-old Mexican model has became the 1st Mexican to be crowned as Miss World.
Thailand's Nicolene Limsnukan was named the 1st runner-up. 118 contestants from all around the world participated in the pageant. Tamil Nadu's 20-year-old student Anukreethy Vas, who represented India at the pageant, managed to reach the Top 30, but couldn't make it to the Top 12 winner's list.
