1. PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates 4th Partners’ Forum in New Delhi
i. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the fourth Partners’ Forum in New Delhi. The objective of the conference is to improve knowledge, alignment and accountability to accelerate action on women’s, children’s and adolescents health.
ii. Ministry of Health in association with the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, PMNCH is hosting the two-day international conference.

2. Portal ENSURE Launched by Agriculture Ministry
i. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Radha Mohan Singh launched a portal 'ENSURE'- National Livestock Mission-EDEG developed by NABARD and operated under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries.
ii. The NABARD has developed an online portal “ENSURE” (ensure.nabard.org) so that the information related to beneficiary and processing of the application can be made readily available.

3. Home Ministry Launches Twitter Account '@CyberDost'

5. Israel Becomes Permanent Member of Financial Action Task Force
i. Israel became a full member of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international body set up to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other threats to the international financial system.
ii. The Jewish state has now taken its place alongside 37 other members including most of the G20, the world’s 20 leading industrialized and emerging economies just 16 years after being blacklisted by the organization.

6. Naomi Osaka's Coach Sascha Bajin Becomes 1st Ever WTA Coach Of The Year
i. Sascha Bajin, coach of the world number five Naomi Osaka, has become the first-ever recipient of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Coach of the Year Award.
ii. WTA Coach of the Year Award is given to the coach with not only success on-court, but also who serves as an ambassador of the sport and brings coaching to the forefront of the game.
7. Mary Kom Honoured With 'Meethoileima' Title
i. Manipur Government honored AIBA World Women Boxing Gold medalist MC Mary Kom with the title “Meethoileima” (par excellent queen) at a function in Imphal, Manipur.
ii. On the occasion, State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh handed over a cheque of ten lakh rupees to her. The Chief Minister also declared that the Imphal West DC Road towards Game Village will be named as MC Mary Kom Road.
8. Slain Journalist Khashoggi Named Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year”
i. Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered in October 2018 at his country’s Istanbul consulate, has been named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” alongside several other journalists.
ii. The magazine has also honoured Philippine journalist Maria Ressa, Reuters reporters Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo — currently imprisoned in Myanmar and the staff of the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland, including five members killed in a June shooting.

9. RBI Appoints Shaktikanta Das As New Governor
i. The government has appointed Shaktikanta Das as the new RBI governor, a day after Urjit Patel resigned as RBI Governor. He is the 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
ii. A former economic affairs secretary from 2015 to 2017, Das worked closely with the central bank. He is currently a member of the Finance Commission of India, and the government’s representative at the Group of 20 summits.

10. International Universal Health Coverage Day: 12 December
i. International Universal Health Coverage Day (UHC Day) is celebrated globally on 12 December. In 2017 the United Nations proclaimed 12 December as International Universal Health Coverage Day by resolution 72/138.
ii. The theme for the 2018 UHC Day is- "Unite for Universal Health Coverage: Now is the Time for Collective Action".

11. RBI Slaps Rs 1 crore Fine on Indian Bank For Violating Cybersecurity norms
i. The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a fine of Rs 1 crore on Indian Bank for violating cybersecurity norms.
ii. The contravention is with regard to RBI's directions on Frauds - Classification and Reporting by Commercial Banks.
12. Route Mobile Collaborates With Oracle Marketing Cloud
i. Route Mobile Limited (Route Mobile), a cloud-communication platform service provider and a member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN) announced the collaboration with Oracle Marketing Cloud, part of Oracle Customer Experience (CX) Cloud Suite, which empowers organizations to take a smarter approach to customer experience management and business transformation initiatives.
ii. This collaboration between Route Mobile and Oracle Marketing Cloud enables companies to leverage Route Mobile's quality connections for mobile customer engagement over SMS.
Obituaries
13. Padma Shri Historian Mushirul Hasan Passes Away
i. Senior Congress leader and former Kerala minister CN Balakrishnan passed away in Kochi due to pneumonia. He was 87.
ii. A long-standing aide of former Kerala Chief Minister K Karunakaran, Mr Balakrishnan was the Thrissur district Congress committee president for 17 years and was also the treasurer of the state unit for a long time.
