1. Most fruits are simple fruits; they are derived from an individual ovary, either simple or compound. Peaches and Plums are good example of simple fleshy fruits. Aggregate fruits develop from the multicarpellary apocarpous ovary. For eg. Raspberry, Strawberry, Custard Apple.

2. In 1926, Kurosawa, a plant pathologist of Japan, discovered Gibberellin. Gibberellin is the principal chemical responsible factor for causing disease symptoms in rice. Gibberellins play various important roles in the growing plant kingdom. All Gibberellins are acidic in nature and produce a wide range of responses, such as breaking dormancy of seeds, and buds, enhancing stem elongation and leaf expansion and overcoming dwarfism.
