ARMY DAY 

Army day 2018 will be celebrated on 15th of January. It would be celebrated as 70th Indian Army day in the national capital.
सेना दिवस 2018 को 15 जनवरी को मनाया जा रहा है. यह 70वें सेना दिवस के रूप में राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में मनाया जाएगा.

It is celebrated to pay homage and salute to the courageous and brave Indian soldiers who have been sacrificed their lives for protecting the country. Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa (also known as Kipper) was succeeded the British Army General Roy Butcher and became the first Commander-in-Chief of the independent India.
यह दिवस देश की सुरक्षा के लिए अपना जीवन बलिदान करने वाले साहसी और बहादुर भारतीय सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि और सलाम देने के लिए दिन मनाया जाता है. इस दिन फील्ड मार्शल कोडंदरा मडप्पा कैरियप्पा(इन्हें  किप्पर के नाम से भी जाना जाता था) ने सेना के अंतिम ब्रिटिश कमांडर-इन-चीफ कमांडर जनरल सर एफ.आर.आर. बुचर से पदभार संभाला था, यह स्वतंत्रता के बाद भारतीय सेना के पहले कमांडर-इन-चीफ थे.
