Martyrs’ Day marks the death anniversary of the father of nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi). (शहीद दिन राष्ट्र पिता, मोहनदास करमचंद गांधी (महात्मा गांधी) की पुण्यतिथी का प्रतीक है)
Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on Jan 30, 1948, by Nathuram Godse.
(नथुराम गोडसे ने 30 जनवरी 1948 को महात्मा गांधी की हत्या कर दी थी)
Godse held Gandhi responsible for the partition of India thus he shot Gandhiji. For this evil deed Godse was hanged on November 15, 1949.
( गोडसे ने भारत के विभाजन के लिए गांधी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया, इसलिए उन्होंने गांधी जी को गोली मार दी. इस बुराई के लिए गोडसे को 15 नवंबर, 1949 को फांसी दी गई थी)
