The Indian Government has engage Private Sector Lender ICIC Bank to enable online payments at 470 mandis integrated with national portal of electronic National Agriculture Market (e-NAM). As of now e-NAM participants are doing payments through traditional ways via bank branches, debit cards and net banking.
ICICI Bank will enable BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) e-NAM portal for making cashless payments. The effort is to provide seamless experience for making online payment of trade and services undertaken on the e-NAM platform.

About e-NAM
- The electronic National Agriculture Market (NAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal which networks the existing APMC mandis to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities.
- e-NAM is envisaged as a pan-India electronic trading portal which seeks to network the existing APMC and other market yards to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities. NAM is a “virtual” market but it has a physical market (mandi) at the back end.
- As of today, 470 Mandis(Click here for Mandi List) across 14 states have been intergrated with e-NAM namely, Himachal Pradesh (19 Mandis), Haryana (54 Mandis), Rajasthan (25 Mandis), Gujarat (40 Mandis), Maharashtra (45 Mandis), Madhya Pradesh (58 Mandis), Chhattisgarh (14 Mandis), Andhra Pradesh (22 Mandis), Telangana (44 Mandis), Jharkhand (19 Mandis), Odissa(10 Mandis),Tamil Nadu (15 Mandis), Uttarakhand(5 Mandis) and Uttar Pradesh (100 Mandis).
