Current Affairs for SSC CHSL 2017-18

Dear Readers, Staff Selection Commission will hold the CHSL examination from 4th March to 26th March 2018 in a computer based pattern. ⦿ Defence of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Exercise (DANX) was conducted under the aegis of Andaman & Nicobar Command.  The five day exercise started on 20 Nov 2017 and culminated on 24 Nov 2017.

⦿अंडमान एवं निकोबार कमान के तत्‍वाधान में अंडमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह रक्षा अभ्‍यास (डीएएनएक्‍स-17) का परिचालन किया गया. पांच दिवसीय अभ्‍यास 20 नवम्‍बर, 2017 से आरंभ हुआ और 24 नवम्‍बर 2017 को संपन्‍न हुआ.

अब बांस नहीं कहलाएंगा पेड़: राष्ट्रपति ने  स्पष्ट किया अध्यादेश संशोधित वन अधिनियम

⦿ President Ram Nath Kovind has cleared an ordinance amending the Indian Forest Act, 1927. The ordinance omits bamboo grown in non-forest areas from the definition of trees, thereby exempting it from requiring permits for felling or transportation.

⦿राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने भारतीय वन अधिनियम, 1927 में संशोधन पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए हैं जिसके बाद गैर-वन क्षेत्र में उगने वाला बांस 'पेड़' की परिभाषा के दायरे से बाहर हो गया. इसके बाद गैर-वन क्षेत्र में उगे बांस को काटने या लाने-ले जाने के लिए अनुमति नहीं लेनी होगी. 

⦿ Ritu Phogat has clinched the silver medal in Under-23 Senior World Wrestling Championship at Poland. The 23-year-old, lost against Turkish Wrestler Demirhan in the gold medal bout of women's 48 kilogram category.

⦿पोलैंड में चल रही अंडर-23 सीनियर विश्व कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता में भारतीय महिला पहलवान रितु फोगाट ने 48 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में भारत के लिये रजत पदक जीता. 23 वर्षीय रितु फोगाट तुर्किश की पहलवान डेमिरहन से हार गईं और उन्हें रजत से संतोष करना पड़ा.

⦿ The virtual politician, called SAM, was created by Nick Gerritsen, a 49-year-old entrepreneur in New Zealand. The AI politician is constantly learning to respond to people through Facebook Messenger as well as a survey on its homepage.

⦿‘सैम’ का निर्माण न्यूजीलैंड के 49 वर्षीय उद्यमी निक गेरिसन ने किया है. फिलहाल आर्टिफिशल इंटेलीजेंस (एआई) वाला यह राजनीतिज्ञ फेसबुक मैसेंजर के जरिए लगातार लोगों को प्रतिक्रिया देना सीख रहा है. इसके अलावा यह विभिन्न सर्वे पर भी तवज्जो दे रहा है.
