1.Mitigate (verb)-गंभीरता कम करना 
Meaning: make (something bad) less severe, serious, or painful.
Synonyms: alleviate, reduce, diminish, lessen, weaken, lighten, attenuate, take the edge off, allay, ease, assuage, palliate, cushion, damp, deaden, dull, appease, soothe, relieve, help, soften, temper, still, quell, quieten, quiet, tone down, blunt, dilute, moderate, modify, abate, lull, pacify, placate, mollify, sweeten, tranquillize, remit, extenuate, excuse. 
Example: The tour of Fatehpur Sikri did not go as per plan for Quentin Jeremy Clerc and his partner Marie Droz. But the Uttar Pradesh police hope to mitigate some of the bitterness by gifting them a compilation of sympathetic messages from social media.

2.Nullify (verb)-अमान्य घोषित करना 
Meaning: make legally null and void; invalidate.
Synonyms: annul, declare null and void, render null and void, void, invalidate, render invalid.
Example: The ruling nullifies an order passed by a two-judge Bench a day earlier, directing that the case be posted before a Bench comprising the five senior-most judges on November 13.

3.Contravention (noun)-उल्लंघन 
Meaning: an action which offends against a law, treaty, or other ruling.
Synonyms: breach, violation, infringement, non-observance, breaking, transgression, neglect, dereliction.
Example: This was in contravention of protocol, and in what the opposition Labour Party described as a “clear breach” of the ministerial code.

4.Ardent (adjective)-उत्साही 
Meaning: very enthusiastic or passionate.
Synonyms: passionate, avid, impassioned, fervent, fervid, zealous, wholehearted, eager, vehement, intense, fierce, fiery, flaming, emotional.
Example: Ms. Patel was an ardent advocate of the Leave campaign, infamously urging British Indians to vote to leave by arguing that it had been unfair that there was one rule for EU citizens and another for non-EU ones, and suggesting that Brexit could provide an opportunity to loosen the rules for non-EU citizens, including families from India and curry chefs (it has become tougher and more expensive to bring in non-EU workers). 

5.Vitriolic (adjective)-कटु  
Meaning: filled with bitter criticism or malice.
Synonyms: acrimonious, rancorous, bitter, caustic, mordant, acerbic, astringent, acid, acrid, trenchant, virulent, spiteful, crabbed, savage, venomous, poisonous, malicious, malignant, malign, pernicious. 
Example: At various points of the campaign this year right up to voting day, the political discourse turned vitriolic and personal. 

6.Plebiscite (noun)-जनमत संग्रह 
Meaning: the direct vote of all the members of an electorate on an important public question such as a change in the constitution.
Synonyms: vote, referendum, ballot, poll
Example: The star campaigners of both parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, gave the campaign a plebiscitary touch — but in previous elections, voters in Himachal Pradesh have been influenced by State-specific issues such as the local apple and tourism economy as well as local infrastructure and social welfare.

7.Delineate (verb)-रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत करना 
Meaning: describe or portray (something) precisely.
Synonyms: describe, set forth, set out, present, outline, depict, portray, represent, characterize.
Example: Now, as the BJP and the Congress move the focus to Gujarat, they will do well to delineate their positions on social and economic issues, without the vitriol that marked the campaign in the hill State.

8.Perilous (adjective)-जोखिमभरा 
Meaning: full of danger or risk.
Synonyms: dangerous, fraught with danger, hazardous, risky, unsafe, treacherous, exposed to imminent risk of disaster or ruin.
Example: That was a quarter century ago, when he entered Bangladesh as part of the big Rohingya exodus of 1991-92. Now he makes a living off another exodus, triggered by a junta far more brutal, calling for a journey far more perilous. 

9.Exodus (noun)-निर्गमन,प्रस्थान  
Meaning: a mass departure of people.
Synonyms: mass departure, withdrawal, evacuation, leaving, exit. 
Example: Since 1978, there have been five major exoduses of Rohingya from Myanmar to Bangladesh. The most recent one that began on August 25 is the biggest.

10.Gruesome (adjective)-डरावना 
Meaning: causing repulsion or horror; grisly.
Synonyms: ghastly, frightful, horrid, horrifying, fearful, hideous, macabre, horrible, horrendous, grim, awful, dire, dreadful, terrible, horrific. 
Example: Many of the refugees, including Rafiuddin, regularly receive videos on their cell phones depicting the gruesome violence unfolding in the Rohingya villages in Myanmar.
