- Living wills - a written document in which a person says what type of medical treatment they would like if they become so ill that they are certain to die and are unable to communicate their wishes about their treatment
- Directive - an official order

- Safeguard - to protect something or someone from being harmed or having problems
- Debate - a discussion in which people or groups state different opinions about a subject
- Euthanasia - the practice of killing a very old or very ill person without causing them pain

- Comprehensive - including many details or aspects of something
- Concerned - worried about something
- Landmark - a major event or achievement that marks an important stage in a process and makes progress possible
