"Don't limit your Challenges, Challenge your Limit" : Soumyadip Ghosh (BOB PO 2017)

September 19, 2017

Hello guys, many of you might know me as I am an active user of bankersadda. I am Soumyadip Ghosh, from Kolkata. I completed my graduation 1 year back. After completing it I started my preparation for banking exam. While doing my preparation I started giving tuitions to students as I wanted to bear all my expenses related to my preparations.

The journey of exams:
IBPS PO 2016: Pre 52.5 mains 67 but in English 2 only..so was out in mains
RRB PO: Pre 63.5 Mains 99.5(Cut Off 97.5) Out in Interview for low marks in Mains
RRB Clerk: Pre 69.25(cut off 70+)
IBPS CLERK: Pre 80.25 Mains 75.25(cut off more than that)
Niacl Ao: Pre 74 Mains 100.5(cut off 99.25) Out in Interview for Low marks
Syndicate PGDBF: cleared mains with 105 marks..in Iterview got 30 Only out of 50..so was Out
IPPB PO: again cleared pre..Out in mains
SBI PO: Pre 68.25 Mains Out
NICL  AO:  out in mains
In spite of these failures, I never gave up... After that
BOB PO: cleared both written as well as the interview.

My strategy

For maths and reasoning, there is only 1 way to get Good marks, Practice as much as you can from different sites apps etc. whatever sources are available to you. Use those wisely.
For English people prefer to read The Hindu, but If you are unable to secure the cut off marks then I would suggest you practice previous years papers as many times as you can. Attempt new pattern quizzes from different apps. I did that, and it certainly helped me a lot.
For GA I followed Bankersadda and I used to solve mock tests to gain speed while solving questions; at least 3 in a week and also I used to solve all the question again to analyze my performance and to understand a better way of approach.
I enjoyed my Journey of one and a half year a lot. My mother and a special person motivated me throughout my journey and they were always with me in all the situations. Thanks to them.
All the very best to all of you for the upcoming IBPS exams.
