CAT Vs IBPS PO | The Choice is Yours to Make

This year two major events are clashing on 26th November. If you are an MBA aspirant and you are also giving banking jobs a try then you might have guessed it right!! As per the schedule released by IIM Lucknow by the end of July, this year CAT Exam will be conducted on 26th November which happens to be the same day on which IBPS PO Mains 2017 Exam is scheduled to take place tentatively. Earlier it was not just the dilemma of CAT Vs. IBPS PO Mains on 26th November but students were left perplexed as Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was conducting its entrance test the same day as CAT 2017 and IBPS PO Mains 2017 but IIFT has changed its exam date to 3rd December. The big question still lies ahead that Should you be now aiming at CAT or you should focus on getting a government job through IBPS PO 2017 Recruitment?

CAT exam is conducted by the IIMs for admissions to MBA programmes offered by 20 IIMs and several other management colleges across the country. IIFT exam, on the other hand, is conducted by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for admissions to MBA (IB) programme offered at IIFT’s Delhi and Kolkata campus. And IBPS PO Recruitment Offers direct government job to selected candidates as a Probationary Officer in the participating Public Sector Banks.

The change in date of IIFT Exam is a sigh of relief for aspirants as now you still have 1 entrance that is not clashing with any exam and you can give IBPS a try. We understand the situation of students as they are now in a fix, not being able to choose between the two- CAT or IBPS. IIMs and IBPS are unlikely to change the date of their exam, so the call is yours to make. You must set your priorities right. If you eagerly want a Govt. Job to settle then you should keep on preparing for IBPS PO 2017 Recruitment exams as on the bright side after getting selected via IBPS Exams you’ll become a PO in PSU. You will still be having a chance in IIFT Exam, IBPS is certainly worth a fight if you find this is the right battle for you.
