(2x+3)(x+4) = 0
X= -3/2, -4
(5y+2)(y+5) = 0
Y = -5, -2/5
Hence, the relation cannot be established.
27). I. 25X^2 + 25X + 6= 0
II.5Y^2 + 20Y + 20 = 0

27). Answer: a)
(5x+2)(5x+3) = 0
X = -2/5, -3/5
(5y+10)(y+2) = 0
Y = -2, -10/5 = -2, -2
Hence, x > y
28). I. 3X^2 + 7X + 4= 0
II.3Y^2 + 10Y + 8 = 0

(x+1)(3x+4) = 0
x = -1, -4/3
(3y+4)(y+2) =0
y = -4/3, -2
Therefore x ≥ y

y = 1705 – 1689 = 16
(x + y)^2 = 900
x + y = 30
x = 30 – 16 = 14
Therefore, x < y

II.6Y^2 – 29Y + 34 = 0

8X^2 + 3X – 38= 0
(8x + 19) (x – 2) = 0
x = 2 or -19/8
6Y^2 – 29Y + 34 = 0
(y – 2) (6y – 17) = 0
y = 2 or 17/6
