Direction (1-5): study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Following are the conditions for selecting Assistant Professor in an Institute. The candidate must be ___
(i) be at least 25 years and not more than 35 years as on 01.06.2017
(ii) be a graduate in any engineering discipline with at least 70 percent marks.
(iv) have completed post graduate degree in any Engineering discipline with at least 75 marks.
(v) have post qualification work experience of at least two years in teaching field of an institute.
(vi) have secured at least 45 percent marks in the selection process.
In the case of a candidate who satisfies all the condition except___
(A). at (iii) above but has secured at least 80 percent marks in under graduation, the case is to be referred to Lecturer.
(B). at (iv) above but has post qualification experience of at least 3 years in Industries and minimum one year in teaching field, the case is to be referred to Associate Professor.

You have to take one of the following course of action based on the information provided and the conditions and sub- conditions given above and mark the number of that course of action as your answer. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these cases are given to you as on 01.06.2017.

1.Candidate- P has been working as an Assistant Professor of an institute for the past 4 years. He has secured 75 percent marks in both B.Tech and M.Tech. He has secured 48 percent marks in selection process.

Directions (Q. 1-5):

1).It is not mentioned that the date of birth or age of Candidate-P. So, the data is inadequate to answer.

2.Candidate-Q was born on 12th July 1983. He completed UG and PG in Mechanical discipline and secured 70 percent marks in post graduation and 75 marks in graduation. He has been working in the teaching filed of an institute for the past five years. He has secured 50 percent marks in selection process.

2)Candidate-Q does satisfy all the conditions except (iii). He secured 70 percent marks in PG. So, he is not selected.

3.Candidate-R was born on 17th August 1985. He completed UG and PG in Civil Engineering and secured 80 percent marks in graduation and 75 percent marks in Post graduation. He worked as a Site Engineer in an organization for past five years and now he has been working as an Assistant Professor in an institute for past one and half years. He has secured 60 percent marks in selection process.

3).Candidate- R satisfies all the conditions except (iv) but he satisfies (B) so, he is referred to Associate Professor.

4.Candidate-S was 27 years old. She completed B.Tech in Electronics and M.Tech in Computer Science with secured 78 percent and 82 percent marks in UG and PG respectively. She has secured 52 percent marks in selection process. He has been working as a Lecturer in an institute for the past two years.

5.Candidate-T was born on 5th May 1992. She secured 83 percent marks in graduation and 60 percent marks in post graduation. After completing her post graduation she joined in a company and has been working for the past three years. She has secured 46 percent marks in selection process.

6.A man walked 20 metres towards south, took a left turn and walked 15 metres again he took a left turn and walked 8metres and he turn his right and walked 10 metres and finally he took left and walked 12 metres. How far and in which direction is he from the starting point?

9.After reaching point A she walks 10 metres towards North and took left turn and walks15 metres and Stopped at point B. What is the distance between B and Mathi’s friend Home, if Mathi’s friend home is 40 metres East from Mathi’s home?

X^2 = 15^2+20^2= 225 + 400 = 625
X^2 = 625
∴ X = √625 = 25 metres

10.If Mathi turns 315º instead of 270º then which direction she is facing?

10).If Mathi turns 315º means, she is facing West direction. Because, 315-270 = 45º
∴ She turns 45º more in anti-clockwise direction. So she is facing West.
