SBI PO 2017 Prelims exam started on last weekend and it will conclude on this week-end. Today (6th May 2017) is the third day of the exam (earlier exam has been conducted on 29th April & 30th April).

Exam Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude (Easy-Moderate)

What an easy exam it was. If we talk in terms of the level of difficulty, then the paper was not at all difficult. Quant was of Easy to moderate level. The trick was to solve DI, Simplification, and Series first and then move on to the Misc. portion. Missing Number series was asked in this shift of SBI PO Pre exam. One can easily attempt questions if they have practised well. DI was asked of following types:

  • Tabular DI

English Section was a sight of relief in SBI PO Prelims 2017.  Students were relieved to see that 10 Ka Dum continued in this exam as well. You just need to pick the right topic for yourself and you can easily score good marks. We are sure that students can score nice marks if they have even read the RC and they can easily score well in cloze test. Cloze test was with a little twist where they gave a word in front of the blank and asked if the given word is appropriate then select option (e) otherwise select the appropriate from the rest of 4 options. There was one new topic of Phrase Replacement which was not so difficult. There were 3-4 vocab questions in Reading Comprehension.

Reasoning section was a big score maker for the students in this examination. It was of easy to moderate level. There were no questions of syllogism. We have seen variety in terms of questions asked. You need to invest a little bit of extra time on reasoning.
