Hi my name Is AKASHDEEP ASTHANA.
I am from LUCKNOW, UTTAR PRADESH.
I’ve completed my B.Tech(69.94%) in CS in 2014.
I was preparing for two years. Last two I could not make into the final list. But this time(3rd attempt), I made it.
During final year of graduation I got a placement offer from gurugram based company during the campus placements but the salary they offered was quite low with two year bond so i rejected the job offer. I decided to write competitive exams to get a secure job.
I was sure that I want only government job but I am not sure about which sector to select. I have applied for each and every government job exam whichever I was eligible.
MY First banking exam was -
1st :: IBPS 2014:119(Cut off 116)(72 in interview)
I cracked it in written but couldn’t make it to the final list.
IBPS RRB OA 2014:159(cutoff 168)
IBPS PO 2014:OUT
As I failed in it because of my carelessness.
After few months It seemed that my life is going nowhere but my friends suggested me to join a coaching institute (for 2 months). I bought some books of previous paper and started solving it.
IBPS PO 2015:pre cleared mains overall cutoff cleared but one sectional cutoff missed by just 0.75
IBPS clerk 2015: pre cleared. Out from mains.
WORST PERIOD OF LIFE: At that time the belief of relatives on me gone. Everyone say that you are not fit for Bank job. Some of my friends also depressing me like why you are wasting your father’s money and stuck here.
It was like that I am going nowhere left engineering field in aug/2014 and currently having no jobs in govt sector. Some people suggested me to go for private job, especially those relatives and neighbors(“log kya kahenge”) but I refused I just thought that I will recollect all my energies once again (LAST CHANCE-DO OR DIE) hard work than before.
After so much failure I realized that there is something in which I am lacking.
On 1st April 2016, I decided to try once again with more dedication and hard work. My parents always supported me. This time I started my preparation in a organized manner by making complete TIME MANAGEMENT, SELF MADE NOTES , BEST BOOKS and apart from that I followed site and apps of CAREER POWER during my preparation which provided me an edge in clearing the exam. Best tool- I started self - study.
I followed the sites and apps of CAREER POWER during my preparation. I used to read the newspaper on a daily basis.

NEVER QUIT: Failure is the first step to succeed. And since you have failed, you have taken the first step towards your success. Now, the next step - introspect and write down your learnings from the failure somewhere and implement these learnings. This will facilitate your success.
One very imp advice when you give an online exam, write down your attempts of every section, When results come, check your attempted questions and score. This will help you to correct mistakes, to manage time . In the next quiz attempt wisely and score well.
Best tools are daily quizes , self made notes , daily revision(or alternate).
Review your notes each nightOrganize the course material as you study
Don't forget to go over the quizzes when you study; this is the best way to judge yourself.
One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation. Focusing on your goals, positive thinking is an important element to build a strong self-confidence. It’s important to look at things positively, especially when things aren’t going as per plans and you really want to give up. Your thoughts have a major influence on your success or failure, so make sure those thoughts are “on your side.”
