1.Debunk-verb
Meaning: expose the falseness or hollowness of (an idea or belief).
synonyms: explode, deflate, puncture, quash, knock the bottom out of, drive a coach and horses through, expose, show in its true light, discredit, disprove, contradict, controvert, 
Example: “The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process,” only to have this statement debunked by Mr. Comey at the hearing.


2.Char-verb
Meaning: partially burn so as to blacken the surface.
Exampple1: "a region charred by bush fires"
synonyms: scorch, burn, singe, sear;
Example2: Last week, in a horrific accident in Chennai, two people were charred when their car hit a tree and went up in flames.

3.Schadenfreude-noun
Meaning: pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune.
Example: What explains this culture of schadenfreude in which we are now immersed? 

4.Bolster-verb
Meaning: support or strengthen.
Example: "the fall in interest rates is starting to bolster confidence"
synonyms: strengthen, support, reinforce, make stronger, boost, fortify, give a boost to;
Example: Bolstered by a conscious effort to help traditionally backward regions, such policies will help eliminate the losses produced by inequalities that lower national human development indices. 

5.Stalemate-noun
Meaning: a position counting as a draw, in which a player is not in check but cannot move except into check.
Example: Break The Stalemate

6.Coerce-verb
Meaning: persuade (an unwilling person) to do something by using force or threats.
Example: "he was coerced into giving evidence"
synonyms: pressure, pressurize, bring pressure to bear on, use pressure on, put pressure on, constrain, lean on, press, push
Example: Here's how a Uniform Civil Code can be introduced without coercing minorities

7.Intricacy-noun
Meaning: details, especially of an involved or perplexing subject.
Example: It is equally puzzling that those who defend the divine sanctity of Muslim Personal Law have willingly submitted to adjudication by India's secular courts where non-Muslim judges unfamiliar with the intricacies of Islamic law and zero knowledge of Arabic decide matters ostensibly based on Sharia and Quran.

8.Promulgate-verb
Meaning: promote or make widely known (an idea or cause).
Example: "these objectives have to be promulgated within the organization"
synonyms: make known, make public, publicize, spread, communicate, 
propagate, disseminate, circulate, broadcast, promote, announce, proclaim; 
Example: "ideas which Ruskin had been the first to promulgate"

9.Behest-noun
Meaning: a person's orders or command.
Example: "they had assembled at his behest"
synonyms: instruction, bidding, request, requirement, wish, desire; 

10.Visceral-adjective
Meaning: relating to the viscera.
Example:"the visceral nervous system"
Meaning: relating to deep inward feelings rather than to the intellect.
Example:"the voters' visceral fear of change"
