Solutions:
1). Answer: c)
Average = (210 +204+ 231+ 231) / 4 = 876 / 4 = 219
2).Answer: a) Total number of girls = 70 + 117 + 54 + 129 + 136 + 176 = 682
3). Answer: e) Different = 225 – 225 = 0
4). Answer: d) Let the total number of students be x.
Boys = 44x /100 and girls = 56x / 100
Different = 12x / 100  = 30
X = 3000 / 12 = 250
Boys = 44/100  × 250 = 110
Similarly,
Total students = (132 x 100)/ 40  = 330
Girls = (30 x 330) / 100 = 99
Ratio = 110/ 99 = 10/9
5). Answer: d) Students from F1986 = 375
Students from C1986 = 250
% = (375 / 250 )× 100 = 150%
6. Answer: d)  Total production of all products in 2009 = (150 + 250 + 300 + 350) × 1000
= 1050000 tonnes
 Amount used in PDS supply
= 1050000 × 20 /100 = 210000 tonnes
 Amount used in Exports = 1050000 × 15/100 = 157500 tonnes
 Reqd difference = (210000 – 15750) = 52500 tonnes
7.Answer: d) Production of pulses during six years
= (150 + 50 + 200 + 150 + 250 + 350) × 1000 = 1150000 tonnes
Production of Wheat during six years = (250 + 150 + 400 + 100 + 150 + 300) × 1000 = 1350000 tonnes
 Reqd ratio = 1150000 : 1350000 = 115 : 135 = 23 : 27
8.Answer: a)  Total production in 2005 = (150 + 200 + 250 + 300) × 1000 = 900000 tonnes
Total production in 2006 = (50 + 150 + 250 + 350) × 1000 = 800000 tonnes
Total production in 2007 = (100 + 200 + 300 + 400) × 1000 = 1000000 tonnes
Total production in 2008 = (100 + 150 + 200 + 350) × 1000 = 800000 tonnes
Total production in 2009 = (150 + 250 + 300 + 350) × 1000 = 1050000 tonnes
Total production in 2010 = (250 + 300 + 350 + 400) × 1000 = 1300000 tonnes
 In year 2006 and 2008 the production is the minimum.
9. Answer: a)  Quantity of exports in 2005 = 900000 × 40/100 = 360000 tonnes
Quantity of exports in 2006 = 800000 × 20/100 = 160000 tonnes
Quantity of exports in 2007 = 1000000 × 25/100 = 250000 tonnes
Quantity of exports in 2008 = 800000 × 30/100 = 240000 tonnes
Quantity of exports in 2009 = 1050000 ×15/100 = 157500 tonnes
Quantity of exports is maximum in the year 2005.
10.Answer: a)  Quantity of PDS supply in 2005 = 900000 × 12/100 = 108000 tonnes
Quantity of PDS supply in 2006 = 800000 × 18/100 = 144000 tonnes
Quantity of PDS supply in 2008 = 800000 ×14/100 = 112000 tonnes
Quantity of PDS supply in 2009 = 1050000 × 20/100 = 210000 tonnes
Quantity of PDS supply in 2010 = 1300000 × 22/100 = 286000 tonnes

In 2005, the quantity of PDS supply is the minimum.
