Hello, Greetings!!

SSC has already issued exams dates for Pre exam, According to the schedule, the CGL Tier 1 will take place from 19th June to @nd July 2017. Every year, Number of applicants is increasing exponentially, For SSC MTS exam more than 6 million students have applied for the exam. So now you can Imagine the kind of competition you will face in SSC CGL 2017 exam. Competition is really tough. Right preparation strategy is needed to crack SSC Exam.
Today in this post, we are sharing strategy to tackle the most prestigious SSC CGL exam. Here is the list of some points which all of you need to go through to excel in the upcoming SSC Exam:

1.For Quant section-clear your basics first
For many students, Math section is difficult and time-consuming. It has questions from all major topics like Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration and Trigonometry. Many students believe that it’s almost impossible to score good marks without using Tricks and Shortcuts. What we feel is, tricks and shortcuts are undoubtedly helpful but you still need basic concept to learn and use them effectively. Watch tutorials on our YouTube channel ADDA247 for help.

2. You can Score well in GA Section
This is the section which is very crucial and unpredictable. In this section, SSC has liberty to choose any topic & ask any type of questions related to topics because General Awareness covers vast syllabus which covers- Science, History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Current Affairs and Other facts related to India.
However, if you analyze the GK Section of past year SSC CGL papers, you will realize that certain question types are repeated almost every year.
For GA section, read NCERT books.

3. Repeated Questions!
Yes, it is true that SSC does repeat questions and that too in all sections (Reasoning, Math, English and General Awareness). Have a look at the last 4-5 year question papers of SSC CGL Exams and you will find out that, there are around 2-3 questions in each section which are repeated every time. It is, therefore, necessary to solve Previous Year Papers. Solving previous years question papers gives you complete idea about your preparation and syllabus, type of questions. etc.

4. RC questions-Don't avoid
Many students believe that Reading Comprehension takes too much time and thus it should be avoided. They feel that avoiding these questions will save their time which they can utilize in other questions. However, the passages are easy and can be scored off quickly. Reading newspaper is very important to solve RC questions.

5. Reasoning Questions
This section is very scoring so candidates need to focus more on this part.Reasoning questions are less time taking than Aptitude questions in SSC exams. This section needs concentration. With proper guidance & ample practicing candidates can get full marks.

6. Synonyms, Antonyms, One-word substitution
Aspirants normally don’t give importance to building vocabulary. Due to this, they face many problems, especially in English Section.
As far as SSC CGL is concerned, you can easily prepare for topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, one-Word Substitution & Idioms/phrases. Synonyms/Antonyms are repeated by SSC in Exam. So, solving previous year papers will really help.

7. Grammar: Very Important tool
A lot of people tell that you can get good marks in English section in SSC CGL Exams only after mastering the Grammar Portion. However, that’s not true.
The English Section has 25 questions. Out of these, only 5 questions are dedicated to spotting errors and 2-3 questions are dedicated to correction of sentences. These are the two sections where you need to have a strong command over Grammar. Rest of questions are dedicated to reading, Vocabulary, and fundamental English usage. So, if you are weak in Grammar section, you should focus on these topics to score in English Section.

8. Solving Mock Tests
Regular practice of SSC ADDA quiz and mock tests on our FREE app ADDA247 will help you to crack this exam. Try to attempt as many questions as you can.
Also, watch short tricks to solve questions in seconds as time is most important

Remember there are other candidates who are also preparing for SSC exam, you need to the best of them all to secure your name in the final list. You should make a proper study plan and must stick to it. We will post a study plan once the official notification is out.

All the very best!!
