1). D) S.P1 =  [(345 × 100) / (100 - 8)] = 34500/492 = 375,
For 16% gain S.P  = 375× (116/100) = 435
2). C) Let the distance is ‘x’
Time taken by bus = x/35,
and time taken by walking = x/10
(x/ 35) + ( x/10) = 22.5,
9x/70 = 22.5,
x = (22.5 × 70) / 9
Boy     Girl
1          5          5C1  × 7C5  = 5 ×21 = 105
2          4         5C2  ×7 C4  = 10 ×35 = 350
3          3          5C3  × 7C3  = 10 ×35 = 350
 4         2          5C4  × 7C2  = 5 ×21 = 105
5          1          5C5  × 7C1 = 1 ×7 = 7
Req. No. = 105 + 350 + 350 + 105 + 7 = 917

P (E) = 15/78 = 5/26
5). C) Let the length of train is ‘x’ = (185 + x)/18 = (230+x) / 21
3885 + 21x = 18 x + 4140
Speed = (185 + 85) / 18 = 270/18 = 15m/s.
x = (255/3) = 85m.
6). C) Req. No. = (800 × 900) / (8 × 6) = 15000
7). E) Area of pavement = 4d (x +y) = 4×2.5(13+18) = 310sq.m.
Cost = 310×11 = 3410
 8). A) Area of inner circle = ¶ (729/¶)2
= (22/7) × 126 × 126 = 49896 Sq.m.
Area of outer circle = (22/7) × (136.5)2 = 58558.5 sqm.
Area of road = 58558.5 – 49896 = 8662.5 sq. m.
Cost of gravelling = 8662.5×6 = 51975
9). B) Volume of wall = 32×8× (25/100)  = 64 cu. m.
Volume of brick = (32/100) × (16/100) × (10/100) = (16/3125)
 No. of bricks = 64 × (3125/16) = 12500
10). C)  Volume of cylinder = ¶  ×9 × 9 × 33 c.u cm.
Volume of sphere =  4/3 ¶ × 1.5 × 1.5 × 1.5
= 4¶ × 1.125 cu. cm.

No. of spheres = (¶ × 9 × 9 × 33) / (4¶ × 1.125) = 594.
