Mukhya Mantri Shikshak Samman Yojana

INTRODUCTION-

Himachal Pradesh Government has approved Mukhya Matri Shikshak Samman Yojana (MMSSY) Scheme for teachers employed in Government schools. This Scheme is chaired by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The scheme is aimed at motivating the teachers to give overall good results
particularly in subjects like Science, Mathematics and English etc. The scheme is applied to Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Headmasters and Principals. This scheme has been launched by the state government after being concerned over the poor results of students and falling learning levels. To overcome the problem the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh Launched this Special initiative in Educational Sectors.

OBJECTIVES-

  • To motivate teachers for giving 100% result consistently.
  • To motivate teachers to give better performance and improve the education level in the state.

KEY FEATURES-

  • Under this scheme the teachers will give their 100% to their cause will be given financial benefits.
  • Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that those who will give the result within next 5 years will also be given extra 1 year of service.
  • To the honour of teachers and to encourage the education system the government will open two new senior secondary schools.
  • This senior secondary school will be developed in each Ideal School or ‘Adarsh Vidyalaya’.
  • Those colleges that have a total strength of students exceeding 4000 will be provided with this benefit of this scheme.

AIMS-

  • Chief Minister Virbhadra Sing has decided to hold the winter session of the State Assembly at Dharamsala from 19th December 2016 to 23rd December 2016.
  • This scheme also aims at helping and hand-holding entrepreneur to select the very viable project of their ventures. The “Start-up innovations” projects or the “New Industries Scheme” will help achieve this.
  • And also improve the education system of the state.

BENEFITS

  • The Cabinet Ministry decided to levy 9% administrative and contingency charges for central government ministries and various public sector units (i.e. National highway Authority India Limited, Railway Ministry, Defense Ministry) for initiating land acquisition proceeding in the state on the analogy of states like Haryana, Assam, Bihar etc. 
  • Under this scheme, the teachers will give one-year extension in service along with incentive those are achieved 100% results for five years consistently.
