- Incentive - something that encourages a person to do something
- Credit - a method of paying for goods or services at a later time
- Debit - an amount of money taken from a bank account
- Transaction - the action or process of buying or selling something
- Stringent - stringent rules or conditions are strict and make you achieve high standards
- Authentication - the act of proving or showing that something is real and not false
- Waived - to choose to officially ignore a rule, right, or claim
- Taken together - as a whole
- Significant - important
- Alleviate - to make something less painful or serious
- Cash crunch - a situation in which a company, country, etc. does not have enough money available to do the things it usually does
- Demonetisation - to officially stop using particular notes or coins, or a particular currency

- Opt - to make a choice or decision from a range of possibilities
- Substandard - below a satisfactory standard
- By contrast - used when you are comparing two things or people and saying that the second one is very different from the first

- Action plan - a detailed set of instructions to follow in order to solve a problem or achieve something

- Rationalising - to make an organization more effective, for example by getting rid of something
- Merchant - a person whose job is to buy and sell products in large amounts
- Perhaps - used for saying that you are not certain about something, or that something may or may not be true
- Ameliorated - to make a bad or unpleasant situation better

- Ecosystem - all the different activities, companies, systems etc that are involved in a particular area of business, especially new technology
- Paradigm shift - a time when the usual and accepted way of doing or thinking about something changes completely
- Provided - only if a particular thing happens or is done
- Monitoring - to regularly check something in order to find out what is happening
- Ensures - to make certain that something happens or is done
- Interoperability - the degree to which two products, programs, etc. can be used together, or the quality of being able to be used together
- Alternative - something that you can choose instead of something else
- Estimate - to guess or calculate the cost, size, value, etc. of something

- Assume - to officially start a new job or position
- On a wave of something - to get an advantage from something
- Foreseen - to know about something before it happens
- Impeachment - to make a formal statement saying that a public official is guilty of a serious offence in connection with their job
- Charges - to make a formal statement saying that someone is accused of a crime
- Impact - an effect
- Scandal - a situation in which important people behave in a dishonest or immoral way that shocks people
- Crisis - an urgent, difficult, or dangerous situation

- Revelations - the process of letting people know or see something that was previously hidden or secret
- Abused - to use something in a bad, dishonest, or harmful way
- Confidante - a woman who you trust and can discuss your secrets and private feelings with
- Extort - to illegally get money or information from someone by using force or threats
- Influence - the effect that a person or thing has on someone’s decisions, opinions, or behaviour or on the way something happens

- Protest - an occasion when people show that they disagree with something by standing somewhere, shouting, carrying signs, etc

- Allegation - a statement, made without giving proof, that someone has done something wrong or illegal
- Puppeteer - a person who controls somebody else
- Aggravated - to make a bad situation worse
- Far from - used for saying that the real situation is the opposite of what you mention
- Exemplary - excellent or done in a way that other people should try to copy
- Sputter - to continue with difficulty and seems likely to stop

- Counter - to react to something with an opposing opinion or action
- Domestically - in a way that relates to a person's own country (locally)
- Peninsula - a long piece of land that is mostly surrounded by water, but is joined at one end to a larger area of land

- Clear-headed - thinking in a clear and sensible way
- Strategic - a detailed plan for achieving success in situations such as war, politics, business, industry, or sport
- Perspective - a particular way of considering something
